Drug discovery advisors – Booster Tx

Cassia is providing input into the multi-parameter design, synthesis and scale-up of novel small molecules for Booster Tx. The company is developing a highly innovative approach to directly boost the activity of 20S proteasomes. As a result, this approach aims to restore the body’s ability to clear disease-causing proteins.
In this role, Cassia supports design-make-test cycles involving:

Input into investor presentations
Multi-parameter data analysis
Structure-activity and structure-property relationship construction
Design and route finding to novel molecules for synthesis at CROs
Route scouting for late-preclinical scale-up

Drug discovery and commercial advisors – Biomia

Cassia is working closely with the Biomia team to help rationally engineer nature-inspired novel small molecule therapeutics for CNS disorders.

Biomia engineers novel CNS therapeutics using a proprietary platform. In particular, the platform combines AI-driven discovery with yeast-based biomanufacturing. Therefore, it aims to produce enantiopure, bioactive molecules with superior therapeutic potential.

In addition, Cassia provides both drug discovery and commercial input as the programme evolves.

Drug discovery founder/leadership – stealth-stage biotech

Cassia is a member of the core team supporting the scientific setup and investor interactions of a stealth-stage startup in the Netherlands.

The company is focused on a novel, platform-based approach to modulating B-cell biology. Specifically, the approach combines structural biology with AI-assisted small and large-molecule drug discovery. As a result, the platform aims to address diseases including progressive MS and oncology.

In this role, Cassia contributes drug discovery leadership and strategic input during the company’s formation stage.

Fractional CCO/CSO – Planet Smart

Cassia is supporting Planet Smart through a fractional C-suite role. This work covers both commercial and scientific strategy.

Planet Smart is developing a new generation of scalable, compostable and microplastic-free biopolymers. These materials are designed for use in hygiene, water treatment and other applications. Therefore, Cassia’s role combines strategic, scientific and commercial input.

Advisor on diligence – European biotech incubator

Cassia performs independent diligence on seed funding proposals for a European biotech incubator.

This work assesses scientific and commercial soundness, novelty and overall opportunity quality. In addition, Cassia helps identify key strengths, risks and decision points before investment.
